Kious, Rodgers, Barger, Holder & King, PLLC would like to congratulate Miura Rempis as this year’s David W. Kious Scholarship recipient. Miura is a senior from Gallatin, TN and is double majoring in Political Science and History with minors in Pre-Law and Political and Civic Engagement at MTSU. She is very involved on campus on the Speech and Debate Team, Youth in Government, is President of the American Democracy Project, is Vice-President of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity, Vice-President of MTSU Model United Nations, and serves on the Campus Engagement Election Project and the CPH Judicial Board. Professionally, Miura just finished an internship for Senator Joey Hensley, District 28 at the Tennessee State Capitol. She also serves her community as Member of the League of Women Voters and is the reigning Miss Tennessee Soybean Festival!
After graduation, Miura will be seeking a Master of Public Policy and Administration before pursuing her law degree. She aspires to write legislation for the federal government and will one day seek appointment or election to office.
We welcome Miura to the KRBHK family and are thrilled to have her interning with us this year!
This scholarship was established in 2016 in memory of David Kious. Mr. Kious received his undergraduate degree in Political Science/Pre-law from MTSU and his law degree from the University of Tennessee. He was a founding partner of Kious, Rodgers, Barger, Holder and Kious, PLLC as well as Middle Tennessee Title, Southern Title Services and Lawyers Land & Title Services, LLC. To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates must be Political Science major with a Pre-law concentration. Each scholarship is for one academic year.
