Kious, Rodgers, Barger, Holder & King, PLLC is proud to announce Loren A. Sanderson as the firm’s newest partner.  This promotion comes on the heels of Women’s History Month, and Loren makes history as the firm’s first female partner.

“When I first joined Kious, Rodgers, Barger, Holder, and King as an associate in 2015, I knew I had come to a special place,” said Loren.  “From the attorneys to the staff to the clients, the firm is truly one big family.  The support and encouragement I have received here has made all my success possible.  I could not be prouder to join this firm as a partner, and I am excited to continue serving our clients and the community in my new role.”

John Rodgers, the firm’s founding and managing partner, said, “KRBHK is delighted to welcome another partner to our firm.  Loren has been a valuable member of the KRBHK team for 6 years and has consistently proven her work ethic to the firm, and more importantly, to her clients.  Loren has shown that she values client service above all else.  Her leadership in this regard made her a natural fit for partnership at our firm.”

Loren focuses her practice on litigation and dispute resolution. She primarily handles family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, contempt, dependent neglect, and adoption.  Loren also assists clients with criminal defense, probate, and estate planning matters.  Loren joined the firm in 2015 after establishing her practice with a firm in Nashville. Loren is also a Rule 31 Listed General Civil Mediator and has extensive experience mediating family law disputes.  Loren graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2008 with a B.S. in Political Science and went on to attend law school and earn her Juris Doctor in 2012 from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, Illinois.

Loren is originally from Memphis, Tennessee, where she grew up on a horse farm just outside the city and attended Lausanne Collegiate School. In her personal time, Loren enjoys kayaking, hiking, traveling and experiencing new cultures, politics, history, and spending time with her fiancé, Curt Cobb, dogs, Charlotte and Sadie, and cat, Finn.

Loren is an adjunct professor at MTSU as well as a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, the Rutherford and Cannon County Bar Association, and the Middle Tennessee Lawyers Association for Women. She has been a member of the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders and Exhibitors Association since 1997 and served as Secretary on its Board of Directors.  Loren has served on the board for Journeys in Community Living and is the Nashville liaison for the Lausanne Collegiate School Alumni Association. She is a 2012 graduate of Dale Carnegie and a 2017 graduate of Leadership Rutherford.

Congratulations to Loren on a well-deserved promotion for an outstanding member of the KRBHK team!
